Apple now has a higher profile and a significant role in developing the HTML. It is the language used to build the pages of a website. The HTML working of the World Wide Web was earlier led by Chris Wilson from Microsoft and Sam Ruby from IBM. Recently Chris Wilson from Microsoft is replaced by Maciej Stachowiak and Paul Cotton. Stachowiak manages the team of WebKit WebApps in Apple and Cotton is the one managing Web services of Microsoft. The director of W3C – Tim Berners Lee said that there is a lot of work to do in HTML development at World Wide Web and Sam, Maciej and Paul put in their particular skills to accomplish the job. As per the director, Paul Cotton from Apple is an experienced person and was the best choice for the project.

The last version of HTML – 4.01 came in the year 1999 and the company stopped developing the language after that, although XHTML 2.0 was also launched. Now the Hyper Text Markup Language is embraced by the World Wide Web once again. It now has added a lot of features to the language to make the web a much better and more users’ friendly foundation. Work is going on not only for static pages but, also for the interactive applications and web pages. The helping Web application also works when one does not have access to network connection. The standardization of the HTL is although extremely complicated and is not an easy job, thus, the trio is said to be going through a crucial time.

Apple’s next generation operating system is also in news these days. It is called Mac OSX10.6 Snow Leopard. You will also get a Microsoft exchange support, Quick time X and 64 – bit support along with this operating system.
